Flights to the Seven Continents at Fresno Yosemite International Airport is a purely abstract composition drawn from the trajectories planes trace overhead: it was designed specifically for what an airport is, not assigned a stock aesthetic. Every STRUZIK ART LTD commission starts the same way, under Mirek Struzik’s direct creative direction — developed for the site and its program, whether that ends up as an abstract, architectural form like Fresno’s or one of the nature-derived pieces elsewhere in our portfolio. Commissioned for the new terminal at Fresno Yosemite International Airport, Flights to the Seven Continents is an abstract composition built from the trajectories planes trace overhead — mirrored spherical forms arranged along flight-path lines, their mirror-polished surfaces catching and scattering the terminal’s light as travelers pass beneath, incorporating each passerby into the piece itself. The suspension structure was designed, engineered, and load-tested in Mirek Struzik’s studio before fabrication at STRUZIK ART LTD, with final installation completed by the airport’s own team under his direct supervision.
